Heard all the buzz on essential oils lately? If you haven’t I’m not sure what world you’re living in.. From food to medicinal use. Cleaning and skin care. Essential oils are amazing for pretty much any ailment.
The thing about essential oils is that the majority of them on the shelves are not pure. They contain fillers and additives that disrupt the quality. Ingesting these essential oils can be potentially dangerous to our bodies. We have been told that the two main companies that sell “pure” essential oils are Young Living and DoTERRA.
One thing that isn’t amazing is the price tag. I will admit, I have tried both big brands. I enjoy them. But I could never afford the prices that you would have to pay… Even as a distributor.
My husband and I were in our chiropractor’s office one day, and we got into a huge discussion about them with the woman that worked the billing in his office. She was telling me about this brand called Edens Garden. They actually sold it right there in the office. I took a pamphlet and went home to do some research.
This is what I found out…
Edens Garden’s oils are just as pure as the leading brands of EO companies. Since they do not sell their products through consultants, they do not have to charge as much. Here is a comparison of prices for a very well known essential oil, Frankincense. Young Living sells a 15 mL bottle for $96.71 retail. Ouch! DoTERRA sells their Frankincense for $93.00. A little better but still could set back someone who may not have much extra to spend…. Then there is Edens Garden…. Their bottle of Frankincense is slightly smaller at 10 mL but the price is a mere $16.95! They also sell bigger bottles as well.
I am always looking for ways to save money so this definitely appealed to me. To top it all off, not long after I began buying from them this year they introduced FREE SHIPPING to all United States customers on all orders. Sweet!
Some other issues I found when researching other big essential oils companies…
I happened to run across this article about Young Living essential oils that basically said that they ran their own tests on brand new bottles of YL oils and found that they’re not exactly “pure.” This brand is one of the biggest that promotes ingestion that I have seen. It is scary to know that if their product really isn’t as pure as they say it is, they can still be advising people that it is okay to ingest them. This is just my opinion on the matter. I know some people have had success and stand behind these brands and I am in no way trying to put them down. I just feel like I should voice my concerns.
The other main issue I found with DoTERRA was my own finding. As I research oils, I have found that you’re supposed to store them in dark brown glass containers to preserve their strength. All of Young Living oils come in dark brown glass, as do the Edens Garden oils. I ordered a blend from DoTERRA that was for tension headaches. It was called Past Tense and it came in a clear glass roller bottle. I noticed as I used it, the area around the roller bottle got gunky and gross. None of my other roller blends did that.
One last reason why Edens Garden is the best!
They have really cute packaging and also allow you to create your own sets. If you have more than one oil that you want to buy, you can design your own. Here is an example of a create your own 6 pack that I purchased back in the Summer.
Compared to all of the other brands of essential oils I have tried, Edens Garden holds their own. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone because who wouldn’t love to live a more natural lifestyle while also saving a ton of money?!
Just want to add here that I do NOT make any commissions off of these products that I am writing about. Edens Garden does NOT have an affiliate program so this is just me genuinely caring about my readers and hoping to pay it forward so that someone else can benefit just as much as my family has! Enjoy!
